Een groot aantal bedrijven is deelnemer aan het SPRINT consortium. Hieronder een korte beschrijving van deze bedrijven en hun bijdragen aan SPRINT.

Ambroise, Enschede

Ambroise is een dynamische Nederlandse onderneming die producten ontwikkelt en produceert ten behoeve van de mens met problemen aan het houdings- en bewegingsapparaat. Hieronder vallen bijvoorbeeld beugelsystemen voor mensen met verlammingen aan armen of benen (orthesen) of producten die lichaamsdelen vervangen (prothesen). Onderdeel van het motto van Ambroise (“dat past bij je lichaam”) is controle, de gebruiker moet controle hebben over het product en niet andersom. Wat de gebruiker nog wel kan, moet het product toestaan en niet verder inperken.

aXion, Groningen

Baat Engineering, Hengelo

BAAT Medical creëert innovatieve producten voor de medische markt en onderscheidt zich door haar unieke combinatie van technische en medische kennis. Momenteel is BAAT actief op vier gebieden, namelijk: implantaten en chirurgische procedures, wervelkolom, ortheses/protheses en revalidatie.

Within SPRINT, Baat Engineering will offer its expertise on the development of rehabilitation devices with a focus on orthoses and prostheses. 

Bionicacentrum

Bionica: het genie van de natuur

Bedrijven die willen overleven in onze snel veranderende wereld kunnen niet zonder innovatie. Dit betekent niet dat je alles zelf moet bedenken of maken. Dit kan duur en tijdrovend zijn. Handig is om te kijken of onderdelen van het idee elders al gerealiseerd zijn en dat (goedkoop) in te kopen. En nergens is het goedkoper spieken dan bij de natuur. Inspiratie halen uit de natuur, daar draait het om bij bionica (bios = leven, ica = (zo)als). Cinsol BV, Nijmegen

Oorspronkelijk was Cinsol BV gericht op de markt van de informatie technologie, voor zowel particulieren als kleine ondernemeningen. Vanaf 2003 is Cinsol BV begonnen met de ontwikkeling van de Medstick. Medstick is een draagbaar elektronisch patiëntendossier dat de gebruiker in staat stelt om zelf zijn of haar eigen medisch dossier altijd bij zich te hebben. 

Delft Prosthetics BV, Delft

Delft Prosthetics BV is producent van armprothesen en handprothesen. Delft Prosthetics BV heeft onder andere de WILMER open fitting voor armprothesen. Deze open fitting laat 75% van de huid onbedekt. Zo kan de huid vrij ademen. De arm blijft koel en vrij van transpiratieproblemen.

DEMCON, Oldenzaal

DEMCON is een high-end technologieleverancier van mechatronische producten en systemen. Focusgebieden zijn hightech systems en medical devices. 

Within SPRINT, DEMCON will offer its expertise in researching, developing and producing hightech mechatronic systems and its mechatronic approach to design and generate high-end solutions for complex issues.

Durea is schoenproducent van comfortabele schoenen. 

Eriks Aandrijftechniek, Schoonhoven

ERIKS is een toonaangevende en innovatieve leverancier aan de procesindustrie en aan machinebouwers, die zowel de rol van specialist als die van brede MRO-leverancier vervult. ERIKS bestaat uit meer dan zestig maatschappijen met vestigingen in 26 landen. 

Evocare, Hengelo

Evocare is gespecialiseerd in het verbeteren van preventie en behandelprocessen en de onderliggende structuren. Middels e-Health oplossingen worden transparante en controleerbare werkwijzen gerealiseerd. Hierdoor verbetert niet alleen de zorgkwaliteit conform de indicatoren maar maakt het ook gemakkelijker voor de zorg- en gezondheidsdienstverleners en biedt het hun cliënten meer vrijheid.

Gameship is a company that focuses on researching, developing and producing serious games and animations. It will be applied in rehabilitation and sensor techniques. Within SPRINT, Gameship will offer its expertise on (serious) gaming, motion capture, rehabilitation, visualisation, animation and video.

Grendel Games, Leeuwarden

Grendel Games is a developer of entertainment and serious games.

Grendel Games’ real-time visualization technology is used to drive several high profile simulations and visualizations. The same technology is used in our games for today’s popular game consoles.

Our serious games benefit from this technology, but also from our expertise in using strong game design principles to govern the learning experience in our serious game products.

Voor het ontwikkelen van nieuwe technologie die kwaliteit van leven van mensen met bewegingsproblemen daadwerkelijk verbetert, is nauwe samenwerking tussen uiteindelijke gebruikers en experts op medisch en technisch vlak essentieel.

Roessingh Research and development (RRD)

is a rehabilitation technology research institute, closely linked to one of the largest rehabilitation centres in the Netherlands (Roessingh). Its mission is to carry out scientific research and contribute to its implementation in clinical practice, health care services and products. The multidisciplinary staff includes over 60 people, including biomedical engineers, physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, movement scientists and technicians. RRD has three areas of research:

1. non-invasive assessment of human function(ing),
2. restoration of motor function and
3. remote monitoring and remotely supervised treatment and is closely related to the MIRA Institute of BME of the UT.

RRD has excellent labs to record and analyse human functions and functioning regarding motor behaviour (Vicon system, multi-channel EMG systems, force platforms, ambulatory assessment systems with inertial sensors, TMS, EEG). RRD will offer its expertise on robotics, virtual reality and biomechanics.
